I don't want to tell you because it is too splendid.
So I write it in English.



I am learning English two weeks by online conversation every day.

Hello Naoki-san! Thank you so much for your positive feedback. I couldn't be any happier upon hearing those things from you. :)) This morning we talked about the 3rd installment of your very interesting blog and just as the usual, you dazzled me with those captivating photos and fascinating ideas. Here's what I should say : Speaking isn't all about those grammar rules so long as you make yourself clear and convey your message easily. You nailed it! :)) But PLEASE make some revisions of the following: 1. "Can I talk to see a photograph in this my blog? " = Can I talk about the photos in my blog? 2. "It was cloudy. I am not happy,,yada yada yada... "= I was a bit disappointed. :) 3. "We took a photo each other". = We took a photo of each other. The sound of /əʊ/ (as in "O", "oh" and "owe") I noticed we need to work on this area too. I have here a list of minimal pairs that you can practice on. boat bought bode* | board bored bone | born borne* close claws* doze* doors drone* drawn flow | flaw* floor foal* fall folk fork note nought poke pork road rode | roared* sew so | saw sore show sure shown shorn* snow snore* stow* store tote* taught Ganbatte! Such a report arrives after English conversation every day.

I do preparations and review for lessons everyday
and it is hard to study a report again.

paulaさん、おはようございます！
良い先生に巡りあえた事は本当に感謝しています。
paulaさんと同じように、一生付き合える先生に巡りあえる幸せです。
彼女はいまベトナムで英語の教師をしてて、その2年間が終わりもうすぐ
フィリピンに戻ります。
フィリピンに戻ったらまた学校に入り、今度は自分が教授になる勉強すると
言ってました。(僕の聞き取りが間違ってなかったら(笑)）
paulaさんもそうですが、一生勉強なんですよね！
頑張りましょう！(笑)

いま早速、今朝のレッスンのレポートが彼女からアップされてました。
その中のいつもの最後の一行です。
"Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death”
Albert Einstein
意味は知的成長は死ぬまで続けなくてはならない、そんな意味ですね。
励みになります！(笑)

その通りですね。
この文章を読んで、もちろんこれだけではなく今日のいでちゃんの英文を読んで、単語力の無さにまだまだ気が遠くなる思いです。
でも生活に結びつけて、気持ちに結びつけて、いろいろ工夫して覚えて行きます。

僕もまだまだです。
いま僕は彼女にどう英語で伝えるか、そればかり考えています。
まず英語で考えて、どうしても出てこない時は辞書や翻訳エンジン使います。
少しずつですが、英会話に慣れてきました。
明日は三浦雄一郎の事を彼女に教えてあげようと思っています。
これもまず英語で考えて…
これが僕の予習です。毎日、毎時間予習してます。
これを数年やってらざる頭でも、いつかものになるでしょう。(笑)

あとiPad、iPhoneは画面を長押しすると内蔵辞書で英語も漢字も引けるのです。
いまはそれも利用してます。
アインシュタインの言葉もそうですが、言葉の意味が分かっても
文章の意味がわからないことあります。短い文章はとくに。

これもそうで、これはbut をonly に置き換えると分かります。
太陽は夜明けの星と同じ一つの星でしかない。
そういう意味が一番いいようです。
これも時間かけて調べました。知ったらお気に入りの言葉になりました。(笑)

私も
先ず英語で考え、ダメな時（いつもだけど）は辞書や翻訳使います。
ipodにもRyuちゃん英語入れたり(笑)、podcast聴いたりしますが、なかなかです(;_;)
でも、NYに行ったときも、Rodrigoが来たときも、あーでもないこーでもないと色々考えるのですが、結局「え～い面倒だ!!考えない!!」と思うとなんとかなってきました。
だからこれからもマイペースで勉強しますが、あまり臆することなく進んで行こうと思っています。
